The Foreign Exchange Operations Manager role is responsible for providing support to treasury, finance and global business units for all of PayPal’s daily FX pricing and trading strategies. This role serves in the capacity of bridging all FX front, middle and back office activities including trading PayPal cross border transactions, cash flow hedging, balance sheet hedging, and liquidity management. The position will also support a risk management and compliance function by collaborating with other areas of PayPal – including finance, legal and audit. This position is located in Austin, TX.
This role will also:
Provide leadership for all aspects of day-to-day FX operations from execution to settlement
Assist Head of Global FX Strategy in design and implementation of new foreign exchange pricing and trading systems; develop reporting and analytical framework to support FX operations
Support Global Product and Pricing on FX related projects and program changes
Provide foreign exchange expertise to internal, cross functional teams who consume FX rates for various applications
Provide foreign exchange expertise and intelligence to evaluate and implement best pricing and execution strategies
Collaborate with FX team to analyze FX counterparty performance
Partner with treasury team on all operational aspects of FX to support corporate and customer needs
Work as liaison on FX issues with various PayPal businesses as they expand globally – Xoom, Braintree, Paydiant
Assist Head of Global FX Strategy on initiatives to expanding currencies supported by PayPal
Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to Senior Management, finance, legal, and compliance on various FX related inquiries
Partner with IT systems and product teams on end-to-end FX flows ensuring operational excellence
Create reporting infrastructure and tools to provide knowledge and insight into PayPal’s cross border business
Monitor compliance with all FX and Treasury policies including all applicable Dodd Frank, daily custodial issues and EMIR regulatory requirements
Provide strategic support for business units where possible by leveraging bank products, services and existing relationships
10+ years Finance/Treasury experience , MBA/CFA preferred
Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA Preferred
Exceptional experience in FX operations at a global financial institution
Broad Treasury background preferred
Proven ability to manage, retain, and develop staff
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong analytical and project management skills
Proven track record of cross functional leadership and driving results in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
