The Business Intelligence team supports PayPal’s executives by delivering world-class performance management solutions and analytics that provide insights on key business drivers, trends, and opportunities. The team’s scope covers all of PayPal’s businesses globally, encompassing 200 million+ active accounts in more than 200 markets. The Team is part of the Global Analytics and Insights Team, reporting up through the CFO organization.
The Analyst, Product BI role reports to the Product BI Senior Manager, and is a high-impact position with exposure to PayPal’s product team across regions and functions. The person will be responsible for collaborating with Product Analytics and the Product Management Team to design new performance management solutions and optimize the global portfolio of existing BI solutions.
The role requires strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders across geographies, and enthusiasm to learn and grow.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify key performance metrics and build executive-level dashboards and analyses to track the progress of PayPal’s products
• Demonstrates ability to translate business questions into structured analysis and data analytics into business insights
• Produce and deliver standardized business intelligence dashboards to support the Product teams
• Keep a constant and proactive eye out for potential improvements in analytics processes, data quality and data sources/tools.
• Develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s business lines, products and geographies to connect the dots between product, marketing broader business trends
2+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, strategy or related functions
Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Mastery of SQL and experience with BI reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview) and databases (Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop)
Ability to effectively work under pressure and to meet challenging targets
Bachelor degree from a top tier institution. MBA/MS is a plus.
