As a Senior Mac Administrator, you will be part of a team charged with maintaining and improving our global deployment of MACs. We have a mandate to give our users a world class Mac experience while meeting stringent the demands of security. You will be part of a team that drives this objective.
Expert knowledge of current and emerging versions of Mac OS X. (ACSP for Sierra and High Sierra a plus, but not required)
5+ years’ experience deploying MAC OS X in a large environment from image creation, software configuration and packaging and software deployment for Self-service or mass rollouts
Expert knowledge of Mac hardware configurations and troubleshooting. (ACMT and ACiT a plus)
At least 5 years of advanced experience with Macs in global enterprise environments
Expert knowledge using JAMF as a tool to manage MACs in a corporate setting
At least 2 years of experience writing Bash shell scripts. (Experience writing configuration management code in Python and/or any object oriented language is a nice to have but not a mandatory requirement)
Experience with File Vault encryption and recovery
Experience creating Mac Configuration Profiles by script or via MDM to secure OS X
Experience administering Windows in a corporate environment a plus.
Experience integrating MAC authentication with Windows Active Directory
Experience working in a global company. Prior Fortune 500 company experience a plus
Experience working on multiple projects and comfort meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment
Skilled at reporting on deployment status, configurations, patching status and vulnerabilities. Prior experience creating reports leveraging BI solutions or Excel is expected.
Excellent skills in written/oral communications
Apple Device Enrollment Program (DEP) experience
Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP) experience a plus
a prolific contributor in public forums like the JAMF discussion board; that provides solutions or research work to the community will be considered favorably
Create and maintaining of OS X images and configurations.
Engage in desktop engineering activities to automate and simplify processes in order to improve knowledge worker, developer and customer support staffs’ user experience
Provide engineering support and technical expertise regarding integration of new and existing Desktop technologies.
Package and Deploy software, patches and vulnerability remediation
Ensure the development and documentation of operational procedures
Interface with internal customers, vendors and internal IT management to translate observed needs in to solutions
Implement best practice security measures to protect valuable corporate IP on MAC fleet
Configure and maintain the deployment process for Apple devices.
Maintain a secure desktop environment leveraging top rated industry security products
Desired Communication and collaboration skills:
Being able to comfortably communicate both from a written and verbal standpoint will be an important key to success in this role.
Comfort communicating desired objectives, implementation plans, design strategies and results to senior level audiences, architecture teams, security teams and support teams
Comfort working with users of JAMF Pro and junior level MAC support teams, business application owners and members of the security organizations to understand their requirements and ensure solutions are built with these requirements in mind.
A Degree in information systems, computer science or related field
Relevant experience in this space with evident communications, collaboration and team work skills may be considered in lieu of a college diploma
Apple and JAMF Certifications – Apple (ACMT, ACiT, ACSP for Sierra and High Sierra a plus, but not required). JAMF (100, 200, 300, 350 and 400 certs a plus, but not required.)
