.The Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) organization is responsible for detecting and preventing financial crimes, including money laundering and terrorism financing, and requires data-driven insights to successfully manage the teams of investigators working to prevent illicit activity from occurring on PayPal’s platform. The Sr. Manager of Workforce Planning and Management Reporting will provide strong people leadership support and strategic direction to facilitate the swift execution against initiatives in the workforce planning and management reporting functions. Specifically, the ideal candidate will directly manage a technical team tasked with creating views of GFCC core programs, including trending and insights into Suspicious Activity Investigations and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, among other critical and time sensitive investigative workflows. The successful candidate will also become deeply knowledgeable of GFCC capacity planning models, key metrics, program initiatives and their estimated impacts, and will be able to collaborate cross-functionally to create strategies to optimize the deployment of investigative talent. This role provides the unique opportunity to cultivate relationships at all levels of the organization and to drive the development of data-driven narratives that are utilized to manage workflows and make informed decisions across the department. The successful candidate will have the ability to execute consistently under tight timelines, lead the team to execute on short, medium and long-term programmatic enhancements, and stay connected at all times with key stakeholders who depend on accurate and effective reporting and planning to effectively manage their functions.
Job Description :
Effectively manage a team dedicated to providing GFCC-related reporting and metrics
Oversee the strategy to design, develop and automate metrics-based internal management reporting and optimize investigative resources across multiple workflows
Collaborate daily with leadership and peers to understand GFCC reporting needs and execute on collective vision for GFCC
Develop a deep understanding of investigative processes, underlying data and upcoming initiatives
Develop processes to effectively and efficiently extract complete and accurate reporting requirements from subject matter experts
Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring on concisely packaging data, preparing leadership views, and storytelling through data-driven insights
Oversee ad hoc data and capacity assessment requests, developing consistent documentation to track and prioritize these work efforts
Collaborate directly with Internal Audit and Examiners, overseeing execution and tracking of exam-related data inquiries
Review performance reporting and advise Senior Leaders on trending, key drivers, and associated management strategies
Rapidly adjust to changing requirements and business environments
At least 3 years of people leadership experience
Experience leading technical teams or developing reporting packages preferred
Experience in developing data-driven insights and creating strategies/driving decisions with data
Prior experience in compliance, legal or law enforcement related fields a plus
8+ years professional related work experience or Master’s degree and 6+ years, or Doctorate and 4+ years.
BS/BA degree in related field required or equivalent professional work related experience.
Excellent communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex quantitative analysis
Strong interpersonal skills including ability to present insights and recommendations persuasively. Skill and confidence in dealing with people at all levels of the organization are essential
Willing to learn new tools and business processes
Excellent English, both written and oral, as the role involves working as part of a global team
Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
Clear, strategic thinker with vision, with the ability to execute on priorities
