A typical day for the Technical Account Manager will include:

Technical Account Management are focused on being the voice of the customer within PayPal, they advocate and work towards great solutions for our Merchants and drive for better Merchant interaction. For this role you will need strong analytical, troubleshooting and relationship management skills.

What does Success Look Like?

  • Supporting PayPal's German Large merchant base, focusing more on German clients for technical support and integration questions.

  • Working with all levels of management including C-Level client relationships

  • Creating and documenting content to support specific merchants on issues and integrations

  • Educating internal employees on PayPal's integrations and merchant products

  • Review and understand merchant’s specific issues and questions to assist in solving the query

  • Proactive merchant management using real-time monitors and merchant metrics to drive product change and integration upgrades

About You:

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Fluent in JavaScript, SQL and a server side or a mobile coding language

  • Minimum of 3yr experience with high-availability web applications required.

  • Customer facing experience, ideally in tech. support

  • Experience as a QA engineer is a bonus, but not essential

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to find problems, the root of the problem and to help solve the problem.

  • Customer facing experience, ideally in tech. support

  • Experience working with all levels of merchants/clients, from their VIP managed to garage developers

  • Must be quality and detailed oriented, but must be able to know the audience

  • Advanced understanding of web technologies, development languages and environments.

  • Enjoy working at speed and sometimes under pressure
