A key factor to our future success in these markets will be driving customer growth and value, with marketing a key lever in this opportunity. An internal promotion has created the opening up of this role

Role Purpose: To lead the development & execution of customer acquisition and retention strategies for consumers and merchants across the markets of Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop upper funnel marketing plan to meet customer acquisition targets leveraging paid, owned, partner and earned channels

  • Effectively manage the Performance Marketing Agency to set growth targets and to deliver against them. Drive partnership approach in Agency relationship and drive continuous learning and improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of go to market.

  • Partner with the Regional Team to continuously optimize owned touch points to drive continuous improvement in conversion metrics (sign up conversion, activation rate and reactivation rates).

  • Own early life CRM to optimize the value of newly acquired customers

  • Partner with the APAC marketing team to develop and evolve brand and product value proposition in market, and own the application of the right hierarchy of messaging through delightful customer communications across acquisition and upper funnel touchpoints

  • Partner with the business unit sales team to leverage merchant and partner channels for acquisition and reactivation of customers

  • Partner with the Communications and PR Team to elevate the brand in the relevant markets to drive increase in awareness, consideration and prospects for PayPal

  • Partner with the Ad Tech and Lifecycle Teams to ensure best application of marketing technology in market to enable instrumentation, measurement, and optimization of marketing

  • Own portfolio and channel performance and contribute to monthly read outs of performance vs KPI’s in Executive forums

Key Skills and Experience

  • Business / Commerce/Marketing Degree Qualified

  • 10+ years Digital Marketing Experience

  • Highly analytical, growth & performance marketer

  • Strong digital, mobile and social credentials

  • Deep experience in SEM, SEO, Display & Performance Marketing.

  • Experience in measurement tools of Google Analytics and Facebook Insights

  • Experience in working with Google Double Click Stack

  • Prior experience working in HK, Taiwan or Korea desired and ability to speak an Asian language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean) would be an advantage

  • CRM and Lifecycle Management experience will be valued

  • Experience in working for International Company in a matrixed environment will be valued
