The Regulatory Governance Analyst is responsible for oversight of the data and processes that support PayPal's regulatory reporting activities, including new regulatory reporting requirements and regulatory Exams. He/she will recommend and implement appropriate controls over our processes that mitigate risk and ensure that we meet our regulatory obligations. This role is also responsible for managing financial deliverables during Regulatory exams.
Partner with other Finance functions to review finance processes and adopt controls that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide oversight of the reporting and forecasting process required for regulatory compliance purposes; including dashboard tracking of our global reporting requirements.
Work with the Regulatory reporting team to ensure policies and procedures are in place where required and reviewed annually to reflect up to date processes.
Coordinate and ensure team readiness for regulatory exams; manage and communicate timelines of exam deliverables.
Partner with the PayPal compliance teams to ensure on-site regulatory exams are efficient and effective.
Track all issues raised by examiners working with stakeholders to ensure timely remediation.
Develop quality control processes to maintain a consistent source of truth for financial reporting. This includes integration of new products and acquired businesses to ensure financial reporting aligns to our data quality standards.
Perform ongoing risk assessment over data quality and work with Data sourcing team to implement mitigation strategies to manage risk.
Monitor new regulations and project manage the implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements.
