PayPal is currently looking for a leader to drive and execute our channel partner strategy in LATAM. Channel partners include ecommerce platforms, system integrators, payment gateways, software providers, and developers.
Specifically, this role will focus on building meaningful relationships with local and regional channel partners in the region, as well as on identifying opportunities to drive growth with our global partners. This is a broad role which requires a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving ecommerce and fintech landscape in LATAM.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of business development, sales and marketing skills in order to execute on an aggressive growth strategy. In addition, she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business models, product integrations, and technical challenges.
Define and execute LATAM’s channel partner strategy
Manage regional relationship with key channel partners such as Shopify, Magento, Woocomerce
Establish yourself internally as the most senior point of contact for anything partner related through deep and strong engagement with key stakeholders (BU Managers, Sales, Professional Services,etc.)
Own channel partner targets in the region (i.e. cross sell, share of checkout and penetration), working hand in hand with inbound and outbound sales teams to build pipelines, close deals, and give strategic direction
Prepare and give business reviews to PayPal and channel partner senior leadership
5+ years of experience in management consulting, business development, product management or similar, working closely with technology companies on platform or product partnership efforts
Strong verbal and written communication skills – including the ability to speak to different constituencies such as business development, product, engineering, and sales internally and externally
Confident communicator with strong presentation skills, able to drive results with C-level contacts internally and externally
Strong product instinct and ability to identify opportunities for PayPal to leverage partners’ existing and in-development products
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
