The PayPal Office of the CIO (OCIO) is looking for a flexible and proactive Data Analyst as part of our Strategic Employee Applications Team. This Data Analyst will be responsible for data analysis, data flows, data dictionaries, and the measurement of strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The Analyst should deliver and document recommendations, using the data and patterns to drive strategic decisions across multiple business units and projects.

This Data Analyst will be responsible for data analysis, data flows, data dictionaries, and the measurement of strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The Analyst should deliver and document recommendations, using the data and patterns to drive strategic decisions across multiple business units and projects.
The Strategic Employee Applications Team collaborates with many teams across the Office of the CIO and the business to create world-class employee technology solutions and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of product solutions. We drive solutions, improve processes and identify opportunities that enable the PayPal workforce to do their jobs and become more productive every day.
Primary Job Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to define and document process flows, data flows and data dictionaries.
Perform data analysis and deliver recommendations to product owners, partners and stakeholders, using data and patterns to drive and support strategic decisions
Confirm identification of data elements identified by product owners and partners
Collaborate with product owners and partners to identify root causes of data discrepancies, deliver data governance capabilities and provide KPIs for data accuracy.
Identify opportunities for automation to accelerate the data analysis process
Define and Conduct a sustainable data risk assessment process to prioritize data governance needs and priorities
Improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve accuracy, viability and value
Support promotion and training of Data Governance policy, framework, technical solutions, and processes / procedures across the OCIO, our partners and stakeholders as needed
Collaborate with our team to define, measure and monitor KPIs to meet our internal Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), supporting the team strategy and goals
Coordinate, Conduct and Support data analysis related inquiries and requests, supporting projects across the OCIO as assigned
Collaborate with other product owners, our customers, our business partners, our stakeholders, the development team, the quality team and the project management office to ensure solutions are scalable, repeatable and effective
Manage milestones and deliverables during projects/enhancement/fixes
Provide appropriate updates, reviews with partners and management team.
Ensure issues are identifies, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
Strong Data Analysis, Business Acumen, Presentation and Communication Skills
Knowledge of SQL, Queries, Data Dictionaries, Data Flows, Data Schemas and Data Governance
Experience in requirements gathering, data flow, process and data analysis
Team-first orientation with excellent time management and relationship building skills
Capable of defining and creating solutions\frameworks quickly and iteratively
BS/BA in Business, Business Information Systems or Engineering fields
Experienced business analyst or data analyst (8 or more years of experience)
