We are looking for a highly talented, self-motivated and analytical individual to join the Global Financial Crimes and Compliance Analytics Infrastructure and Operations Team (GFCCA-IO). This person will be responsible for developing solutions that meet the needs of GFCC. The Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for the development, validation, and monitoring of GFCC systems, rules, jobs, models, and processes. This person will help to assure the integrity of data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, and processing. The position will work closely with the GFCC Rules Developers and Analysts to ensure delivery and operations of effective solutions to support GFCC rule and job functions, including rule and job development, rule and job execution environments and GFCCA infrastructure. An expert understanding of SQL and ETL processes is required, intermediate experience with a scripting language (VB Script, Windows PowerShell, JavaScript, etc) is required and experience with Linux and Windows OS is preferred.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in database design and data modeling

  • 5+ years experience developing scripted jobs, ODBC, file manipulation & ETL

  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems, technology and skills required

  • Solid expertise with SQL (MySQL, Teradata or other relational database)

  • Exposure to analytics and modeling

  • Experience with query optimization

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years business experience, with at least three of those years in a business development-related role

  • Experience developing with VB Script, JavaScript or other scripting language

  • Experience with Teradata, Teradata SQL Assistant, MySQL or other relational database and tools

  • Experience with data modeling, ETL development and other data warehousing

  • Working knowledge of Hadoop, Pig & Hive

  • Working knowledge of Node.js

  • Proficient with JavaScript

  • Experience with Linux command line is a plus

  • Experience with Windows server administration is a plus

  • Experience in Risk or Compliance a plus

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
