Xoom’s integrations team works with international partners, including major banks, other remittance intermediaries and major retailers.
In this high profile role, you will be exercising your technical and creative problem-solving abilities to build a world-class service for our customers. You will be exposed to a wide variety of technologies across our various partners and will need to wear your creative hat to determine the most robust way to operate end to end with each of these vastly different systems. You will also need to investigate and validate how partner systems work down to the most intricate levels. One of your most challenging tasks will be to convince partners to adjust their procedures and systems where necessary to enable us to offer the best service to our customers, involving hard negotiation, creative thinking and your strong communication skills. As an individual contributor work through the required steps for the end to end technical integration process for a partner into the Xoom system
Review partner technical documentation to deliver detailed requirements to our engineers to integrate with partners’s system
Work with partners and internal Xoom teams to develop, manage , and drive the teams to deliver to aggressive schedules
Evaluate operational and technical competence of partners
Continuously analyze success metrics, partner performance, compliance standards, market research, and competitive information to report on and improve existing partner integrations
Define and drive integration product features, help set priorities , and specify requirements for Development and QA teams to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery
Creatively work in collaboration with the Xoom team and its partners to provide a world class service to Xoom customers
Develop a full understanding of the Xoom and partner systems to facilitate the improvement of the service
Build and maintain a relationship with the partner that facilitates a cooperative and diplomatic environment with the partner
Transfer knowledge and train customer service and operations teams to enable them to support the integration post release
Manage and oversee the resolution of ad hoc issues and risks related to your integrations once they are live
3+ years technical project management experience
Proven ability to collaborate successfully with engineering teams in an Agile software environment
Hands-on experience diagnosing and troubleshooting issues at any and all points of the integration process
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated cross-group collaboration
Experience working with an enterprise transactional-based multi-tiered web-based application
Exceptional ability to interface with high-visibility partners and build an effective work relationship
Strong sense of ownership in building cross-functional consensus among internal and external stakeholders to drive business results
Proven track record for on-schedule delivery and successful management of projects in all phases of the project life cycle
Familiarity with communications security protocols and data exchange preferred
Ability to quickly adopt and incorporate information when and where relevant to ongoing projects
Experience working with financial partners in Africa, Asia or the Middle East a plus
