The Financial Services Engineering team is responsible for the payment processing for each of these transactions, as well as the safekeeping of the back-office data associated with them. We integrate with a variety of external services, with a technology stack including Java, MySQL, Spring and microservice-based REST APIs. We are looking for an experienced software engineer to help design, build and maintain our accounting and treasury systems as we expand our products and services. If you love designing and developing well-tested, object-oriented code and would like to help customers care for loved ones around the world, we would love to talk to you.

  • Help design, implement and maintain business-critical financial systems

  • Work with other engineers, managers, QA and operations to ensure that our financial systems meet our reliability, accuracy and performance goals

  • Help identify and fix performance, scalability and other issues in a time critical environment

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in object-oriented design and development, preferably in Java

  • Experience with Agile development and knowledge of Agile principles

  • Focus on producing well-tested code, including unit tests and integration tests

  • Experience with REST APIs and microservice architecture is a plus, as is knowledge of the Spring Framework and SQL

  • Ability to work in a small, closely-knit team in the fast-changing world of financial services

  • Bonus points for prior experience in back-office financial systems
