This program manager will be responsible for leading the operations, planning and execution of strategic initiatives in an organized, disciplined and predictable fashion. Demonstrable past experience doing the same at meaningful scale is required. This leader will be a critical partner to both the product and engineering leaders to define and manage priorities, drive planning and accountability, and constantly manage expectations and ensure forward progress. In other words, ensure multiple teams within the program do what they say they will do and when they say they will do it.
This leader must be one who is both comfortable and capable in the weeds solving problems as they are hovering high and working strategically. The tool kit required for both is necessary: focus on problem solving, accountability and outcomes, strong ability to influence others at multiple levels, initiative, drive, and structured analytical thinking. Lastly, maturity, good judgment, negotiation skills, and analytical talent are essential to success in this role.
10+ years relevant experience in technology project management delivering technology initiatives in a high growth/high velocity environment at a leading consumer technology company or management consulting firm
Successful track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with predictability and transparency
Proven expertise developing effective, matrixed, cross-organization relationships, collaborating and communicating across business and technology stakeholders and multiple geographies
Demonstrated experience with different project management and software development methodologies including Agile/Scrum, and associated tools like Smartsheets, Jira, Rally, etc.
Impeccable collaboration and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, self-direct and follow-through with a high attention to detail
Ability to influence both peers and leaders, to build consensus while dealing with ambiguity, and make or delegate decisions when necessary
People management experience of 2 or more directs
Demonstrated aptitude for risk identification and mitigation
Excellent oral, written communication skills including presentation skills
Capacity to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
