The Business Intelligence team supports PayPal’s executives by delivering world-class performance management solutions and analytics that provide insights on key business drivers, trends, and opportunities. The team’s scope covers all of PayPal’s businesses globally, encompassing 200 million+ active accounts in more than 200 markets. The Team is part of the Global Analytics and Insights Team, reporting up through the CFO organization.
The Business Intelligence - Products Manger is a role reporting directly to the Senior Manager for Product BI and is a high-impact, high-visibility position with exposure to PayPal’s senior leadership team across regions and functions. As a Product Manager within the BI team, you will be responsible for leading a team that works collaboratively with Products Analytics, Data Technology and Finance on large scale projects aimed at driving business growth, efficiency and communality. The role requires strong strategic and analytical skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders across geographies, businesses and functions. Additionally, the role requires the ability to drive change and innovation within the BI team, as the group’s scope and mandate expand.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Work with Product Analytic and Product Business teams to evaluate reports and analysis to identify trends and additional data needs
Produce and deliver standardized business intelligence dashboards to support the Product team
Work collaboratively with regional teams to understand product reporting needs and align to global reporting accordingly
Identify data requirement for specifics projects or report request, includes identifying data mapping and definitions required to fulfill request
Project management of dashboard delivery including design, development, delivery and stakeholder communication and feedback
Understand BI tools and drive consistent usage
5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, strategy or related functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Mastery of SQL and experience with BI reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview) and databases (Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop)
Experience in Financial Services and Payments is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
