The Network Compliance Administrator will be part of the Payments Product and Engineering team located at PayPal’s San Jose HQ. The position will be global in nature, acting as the single source of truth for all incoming network bulletins describing upcoming changes consisting of important information about product features, rule changes, pricing, etc. The information is received from our global bank partners and networks. The right candidate will manage the inflow, working with internal and external partners to record, track and monitor the evaluation and status of all bulletins, product, financial and customer implications.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

This role will act as the Network Compliance Administrator. Major duties include:

• Manage incoming communication from global partners providing network bulletins of upcoming changes.

• Lead the governance structure for receiving, tracking, monitoring and communicating the bulletin updates to cross-functional teams from intake till they are assigned for product work.

• Engage senior leadership and other key stakeholders to evaluate network changes and impacts to the business.

• Direct change management and communications, ensuring appropriate leadership approval and transparency.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and provide leadership reporting on progress against key initiatives and business outcomes to demonstrate strong oversight.

• Partner with functional leaders from across the organization and business units to communicate changes that may affect product or financial requirements.

• Build relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders to ensure appropriate support and cross functional review.

• Build trust and foster relationships with key stakeholders. Build impactful cross-functional relationships by promoting the “one team” concept in a variety of ways on a daily basis.

• Support and promote an environment of team member engagement and diversity where everyone feels included, valued, and supported to do the work that energizes and inspires them to go farther together and achieve success.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

The Network Compliance Administrator will need to build strong relationships with PayPal business partners within Payments Product & Engineering and cross functionally across PayPal. The Administrator will work in a complex, fast-paced matrixed environment, replete with tight deliverable timeframes and multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. The right candidate, is expected to demonstrate strong initiative and flexibility in working with global teams. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.

The individual must possess program management and business acumen skills. The ability to effectively communicate and work with people will be key in driving results the right way.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to present to senior leadership.

  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business with high attention to detail and accuracy; while multitasking and meeting deadlines despite competing priorities.

  • Proven and demonstrated relationship-building and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain support to drive a team deliverable forward. This includes project management tenacity to drive teams forward to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently, self-starter and highly motivated to work in a fast paced and changing environment.

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions.

  • Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Available to work periodically early mornings or late evenings to meet with global teams and external global partners.Desired profile: Experience managing a network bulletin creation or review process for a network, issuer or acquirer. Merchant account manager or similar for an acquirer familiar with communicating spring and fall release changes to the merchant community.
