Job Description

Fueled by a fundamental belief that having access to financial services creates opportunity, PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) is committed to democratizing financial services and empowering people and businesses to join and thrive in the global economy. Our open digital payments platform gives PayPal’s 244 million active account holders the confidence to connect and transact in new and powerful ways, whether they are online, on a mobile device, in an app, or in person. Through a combination of technological innovation and strategic partnerships, PayPal creates better ways to manage and move money, and offers choice and flexibility when sending payments, paying or getting paid. Available in more than 200 markets around the world, the PayPal platform, including Braintree, Venmo and Xoom enables consumers and merchants to receive money in more than 100 currencies, withdraw funds in 56 currencies and hold balances in their PayPal accounts in 25 currencies.

PayPal’s Checkout team is looking for technical leads to join us in being completely awesome! We’re looking for talented Node / Javascript application developers with a passion for User Experience and a desire to question all assumptions to make our products better across the board. We are an experimentation-driven group that includes both Product a/b testing and working with new technologies to up-level everything we do and deliver.

PayPal has been at the forefront of building Node.js applications for “the enterprise” both internally with our own products and externally with open source projects like Kraken.js. As part of our Online Payments team, you’ll join us in our goal of making PayPal the best possible choice for paying online. We’re looking for people who want to collaborate broadly rather than acting like a short-order cook. What we do matters—both to us and to millions of people around the world.

Join us and build stuff that matters!
