PayPal Global Risk and Data Science (GRDS) is building its product organization from scratch and is seeking for a highly motivated and talented product manager to join the team.
As a Sr. Product Manager in GRDS you will get a unique opportunity to be part of a new team that is driving GRDS products to success while shaping the product organization and functionality by setting the right processes and relationships within PayPal’s and externally.
The scope of GRDS is a non-traditional organization. It is global and its data science based products serve an on going growing array of functions including Risk, Business and Operations. The products are non – traditional and much more complex from an average web service. Hence, we are looking for an individual who is eager to learn complex environments, like to be a pioneer in team and feels comfortable working in cross-functional teams with a very high degree of product management skills.
As a Sr. PM in GRDS you will be responsible for:
Embedding product organization within GRDS – work with product team to define methods, processes and delivarables, and educate the teams accordingly.
Portfolio Ownership - developing a product strategy for the area of ownership and define / manage the portfolio with GRDS leadership team and stakeholders, and representimg the product to stakeholders and to peers across PayPal.
Driving product vistion and strategy and creating capabilities that data science teams can leverage to have a direct impact on PayPal risk, operations and business decisions.
Evangelizing product roadmap internally and externally in informal and formal settings
Working cross-functionally and build strong relationships with key internal and external customers (data engineers, software engineers, product analytics and other business teams) that will allow understand gaps and build the right solutions.
Define and measure key performance indicators to evaluate and understand product value
Identifying new opportunities based on research, industry trends and best practices, driving innovation.
Success In This Role Requires :
Passion to product manager role with at least 3 years of experience as a product manager
A ‘can do’ spirit combined with high energies and positive attitude
Good problem solving skills
Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
Ability to drive people
Self Starter which doesn’t hesitate to proactively approach in order to learn fast
Skilled at working with cross functional groups and matrix organizations in multiple geographies to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Tech savvy which loves to stay on top of industry trends
Machine learning and big data analytics experience – a plus
