Job Description

A typical day for the SMB Partner Development Manager will include:

• Responsible for the acquisition and growth of Small and Medium business across the region, as well as for the definition and execution of the Channel partner’s strategy for the region.

• Working cross functionally in the organization with the Operations, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product and other functions.

• Responsible for orchestrating efforts to drive SMB acquisition, growth in Total Payment Volume (TPV) and Share of Checkout (SOC) in SMB.

• Ensuring unparalleled service levels and focusing on building and maintaining long-term and profitable relationships with partners and customers.

What does Success Look Like?

  • You monitored the e-commerce market across CEE countries and suggested new initiatives to respond to changes in these markets.

  • You participated in SMB acquisition and growth strategy definition and execution through different channels: Partners, Telesales, Marketing, etc.

  • You created and owned go to market segmentation of both SMBs and Partners.

  • You built analytical landscape of channel Partners and SMB landscape across the Region.

  • Identified key business needs of different types, sizes, country specificity, etc. in coordination with Marketing, PR and other Functions.

  • Created a clear and compelling formulation of value proposition for SMB merchants.

  • You participated in the execution of the channel partners strategy to acquire small & medium merchants.

  • You developed the partner program platform, established guidelines for long tail partners initiatives, followed up and ROI calculation, influenced the developers/Web Agency community and supported partners in specific co-marketing actions.

  • You closed new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations and setting up performance tracking capabilities.

About You

  • You have a Bachelors/Master’s Degree or Equivalent.

  • You have +8 years of experience with and a strong track record in business development and project management around new technologies.

  • Strong analytical, prioritization, modelling & reporting skills on business metrics, Excel proficiency.

  • You have a proven ability to work & lead cross-functionally: Marketing, Product, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Risk etc.

  • You are a strong negotiator with good relationship management skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • You are fluent in English; another CEE language is a plus.

  • Payment /eCommerce industry experience.

  • A result oriented team player, fun and energetic personality.

  • An understanding of PayPal’s value proposition.

  • Experience in matrix organization.
